Serums are generally lighter than lotions, and lotions are more thick. We recommend Serums for high concentration for smaller areas (e.g. your nose), and Lotions for less concentration and larger areas (e.g. your entire face)

The main difference between these two items is that we add an SPF to the A.M. option to help protect you against the sun. If you will be including a large amount of antioxidants into your mixture, we recommend selecting the A.M. option.
Help us decide exactly what other ingredients you need to have in your mixture. Chose from Oily, Dry or Sensitive if you are aiming to treat one of those symptoms, or chose Combo if you are building a general solution.
Antioxidants penetrate the skin, turning harmful free radicals—molecules that form in the body when you're exposed to UV rays and other environmental assaults—into harmless compounds, thereby stopping them from destroying DNA, elastin, and collagen. Some antioxidants multitask, too: They can help stimulate collagen, boost cell repair, and fade blotches.
We recommend choosing at least 3 from this area if you are aiming to soften your skin.

Vitamin C is a powerhouse of an antioxidant that has been shown to increase collagen production, repair DNA damage, and fight UV damage.
Vitamin E is another great antioxidant that functions similar to all other topical antioxidants. This Vitamin has been well studied and has shown to have greater efficacy and stability when paired with other antioxidants like Vitamin C
Resveratrol is a phytoalexin antioxidant found in red grapes, has been shown to have both chemopreventive and therapeutic effects against many diseases and disorders, including those of the skin. Studies have shown protective effects of resveratrol against ultraviolet radiation mediated oxidative stress and cutaneous damages including skin cancer.
Pomegranates are full of ellagic acid, an antioxidant that has shown the ability to reduce collagen breakdown, provide UV protection and reduce inflammation.
Green tea has good effects on sun damage skin, UV protection, reducing inflammation, reducing rosacea and promoting healthy collagen.
Studies have confirmed that topical Green tea containing four major polyphenols in green tea: epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), epicatechin (EC), epigallocatechin (EGC), and epicatechin-3-gallate (ECG) inhibited UV-induced inflammation (23), DNA damage (24), and formation of reactive oxygen species
data show that the use of a concentrated, isoflavone-rich soy extract during six consecutive months caused significant increases in epithelial thickness, the number of elastic and collagen fibers, as well as the blood vessels.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is an endogenous cellular antioxidant. CoQ10 has demonstrated its ability to reduce photoaging, with a corresponding decrease in wrinkle depth.
These ingredients will be used to help you get your skin back to its original glory. Typically for dry and aging skin types, our Skin Rejuvenators help in restoring cell function in the skin.
We recommend at least 2 products form this category if you are looking to restore any aging.
While it takes several weeks to see results, retinol is the most effective over-the-counter anti-aging ingredient when it comes to "smoothing wrinkles, unclogging pores, lightening superficial brown spots, and improving the texture of the skin," [13] Because of retinol’s potency, skin irritation is common, especially in direct sunlight. Apply retinol-based products at night on dry skin to avoid sensitivity and be sure to apply a moisturizer with SPF every morning.
DMAE helps maintain muscle tone in the face and body as we age, helping to prevent both sagging and drooping of the muscles under skin. In fact, it is not wrinkles that are the greatest culprit in giving the face an aged appearance – it is the loss of anatomical position that results in the sagging and drooping of the underlying muscles.
When applied topically in the form of a lotion, the effects are almost immediately visible. The effects are also cumulative. Studies looking at weeks, months and even up to a year of use show that improvements and benefits continue to accrue.
Polyenylphosphotidyl choline (PPC) is unsurpassed in relieving dry skin. This is because the chief moisturizing agents in skin are phospholipids. When we apply an unsaturated phospholipid like PPC, the moisturizing action is even more effective and powerful than that of the natural phospholipids we find in our skin.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the building blocks of proteins. They signal the skin to create collagen, which is essential for firm, healthy skin.
Linoleic acid, or omega-6 fatty acid, and linolenic acid, or omega-3 fatty acid, are the two essential fatty acids. These fatty acids replenish the skin’s intercellular matrix, preserving its appearance. They also function as cell-communicators, working to tell the the skin cells how to function in a health manner.
Ceramides are a group of natural waxy, fatty substances in the skin, composed of sphingosine and lipids (fatty acids) bonded together. They are present in all cell layers of the skin.
These options are specifically for dark spots and blemishes. These are only necessary for that function, but still cary over additional benefits.
We recommend adding these ingredients to Serums without SPF.
